COMMITTEES

Christian Education               Chair/Contact person: Linda Schnell

Mission Statement: 

The Christian Education Committee, in association with the pastor, shall oversee the conduct and promotion of the schools and the activites of all organizations within the congregation.

It shall encourage the use of teaching and worship materials published or approved bu ELCA and seek to introduce the church's periodicals and books of family devotion into the homes of the congregation.

One of the primary aims of the Committee on Christian Education shall be to bring the call to the ministry of the Gospel and to other full-time church vocations of qualified youth of the congregation. 


Worship & Music                   Chair/Contact person:  Ray Sprout

Mission Statement: 

The Worship & Music Committee, shall oversee the worship life of the congregation, including the usher staff, the alter guild, and the choir of the congregation.

The committee shall provide for and properly care for hymnals and other devotional materials and shall arrange for the care of paraments, vestments and musical instruments. In consultation with the pastor, the organist, and the choir director, it shall furnish music supplies appropriate for use in the worship of a congregation of the ELCA.

To learn God’s work using his knowledge to listen for direction in all aspects of the church property in that we will properly maintain and expand upon all property and related gifts entrusted to us by God.

Mission Statement: 

We are committed to assuring that Bethany is an experience of God’s hospitality for all. 

We are committed to developing service outreach opportunities, and to fostering conversations based upon ELCA social ministry statements.
